‘The Gaudium et Spes Pastoral Instute will orient the teachings of the Bible and the Church toward our daily lives and this real world over the wall of the Church. Thereby, we will be able to talk our stories, our nation’s stories, and God’s stories just in there.
This world is the place the Church props up, and also is the place the Gospel is preached. We dream of a new society and an ideal Church community in the midst of this world, and strive to realize that dream for the salvation and emancipation of the whole people.
To be prepared for the unification of the nation, we will present a new ground for healthy religious culture by formulating the role of the Church in the changed cultural environments of the unified country. For this, we are planning to establish a ‘Pastoral Center’ which will serve as a forum for a new religious culture.
Practically, we hope the Institute will serve as a window on our common aspirations, thereby as a seat of Joy and Hope in our general and Church community. We will ever broaden the belt of consensus by collecting extensive wishes of all the concerned members, monks, and priests. We cordially invite you to join us in such cause of the Institute.
